I ask because I cut my 16" carbine barrel down to 4.5" but had it threaded 1/2x28 and run my Barking Spider 2 on it, however I have a factory 4.5" on the way but it just dawned on me the threads won't match. The handguard also includes one five slot M-LOK compatible rail section and a heat treated 4140 retaining clip with a black phosphate finish. I did have pretty good luck with attaching bcm keymod covers and cuttin the flush with the end of the rail. Yea it's pretty impossible to have no partial keymod after the chop. Ive seen several of the KeyMod guards chopped and it looks like everyone is cutting them in slightly different places. Sig Sauer has actually stopped making the Gen 2 / 8 inch variant of the MPX, but these upgrades & accessories will work across the board on all of the new sub-models they are currently. Barrel cut to 4" and rail chop by class III maching. The Gen 2 version is nice because it is modular and can swap barrels to change calibers to 9mm, 357sig, and 40 S&W.
